Neumont College of Computer Science has an immediate opening for a Registrar to manage the Registrar’s Office. The ideal candidate is both analytical and people-oriented, bringing energy and sincere passion for working with students and faculty. This person must be well organized, detail-oriented and agile in balancing competing deadlines that cannot be missed. They must also be able to balance academic compliance while offering energy and sincere passion for students working toward their graduation goals.
TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Registration
- Generates the course schedule for each quarter
- Works with the Academic Department to develop and implement quarterly course registration
- Creates and updates a “graduation plan” that provides the shortest path to fulfilling graduation requirements for each student
- Keeps students informed of quarter course options
- Audits all course pre-requisites
- Provides and oversees academic advising to students with information about graduation requirements, program transfers, and course selection
- Assists Vice President, Academic Operations and Program Chairs in establishing program direction and objectives
- Creates and manages quarter courses in CampusVue (CV)
- Creates courses and instructional periods in CV
- Oversees the provision of academic advising services to students, not in compliance with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
- Manages bookstore and coordinates with Faculty on ordering textbooks
- Manages records in CV and student status changes
- Administers the final grade collection process for Instructors
Records Requests and Integrity
- Evaluates incoming transfer credits
- Utilizes the latest Registrar best-practices and industry technology, in part through association with the National Student Clearinghouse
- Responds to requests for official transcripts
- Manages student academic files
- Provides relevant information for institutional data
Other Activities
- Committee memberships

- Acceptance Committee
- Retention Committee
- Participates in the institution’s Course Catalog review process
- Coordinates with the Curriculum Committee to empower student input into the development of course offerings
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of registration processes and procedures
- Deep understanding of academic records maintenance and management
- Firm understanding of effective course scheduling
- An understanding of compliance auditing procedures
- Experienced with academic information systems (i.e. CampusVue, Canvas)
- Skills:
- Professional writing skills including correct use of grammar and punctuation
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to follow through on assignments
- Excellent public relation skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Abilities:
- Work collaboratively as well as independently
- Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Problem-solving
Education and Experience
- Master’s level degree, preferably in education or business administration, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
- Three years’ experience as collegiate registrar or assistant registrar
- Creative, persistent, and self-motivated in developing consensus amount staff members of various departments to solve organization-wide issues
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent writing skills, editing and proofing skills
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional and personal ethics, and commitment to organization’s mission and values
SCHEDULE:
- Full-time: 40-hour work week.
- Exempt position
- Occasional evenings and weekends, with advance notice. (Rare)
